My body shakes uncontrollably with this cold,
But it’s not just this icy weather I wish to shake off.
I can feel deep within me,
In my heart, in my bones,
In my mind
That my past is coming back to haunt me.
And I wish so for it to go away.
I wish to be able to simply
Shiver it away with the cold.
